The City of Casa Grande Arizona Public Safety Facility houses the City’s Police and Fire Departments Headquarters and their Emergency Operations Center. The 61,786 sf facility is the new home for the police department divisions including patrol division, criminal investigations, criminal forensics analysis and lab, special operations, administrative offices, volunteer corps, short to medium term detention (male, female, juvenile), 911/dispatch center, long and short term evidence storage, vehicle maintenance, impound lot, indoor five lane shooting range, MILO fire arms training room, physical fitness/training center, K-9 patrol units and K-9 training grounds, SWAT, classrooms, community room, long and short term records storage, secured parking, outdoor ½ mile running track and basketball court/helipad.

Embedded in the project is the City’s Emergency operations center (EOC) which doubles as a training auditorium when not in emergency mode. The auditorium seats 60 and is integrated with the state of the art A/V systems. It is positioned adjacent to the facility’s central break room which is outfitted with commercial grade kitchen equipment.

The fire administration headquarters houses the offices of the Fire Chief, Battalion Chiefs, fire inspectors, records and support staff. It merges with the Police Facilities at the common break room, EOC and fitness center.

The development of this 13 acre site will act as a seed for future development both in terms of use and quality. Building materials were selected based upon historic precedence found in the varied architectures that have created Casa Grande since pre-historic times. Stone used as a heavy rubble veneer and a variety of ground covers was donated by one of the city’s leading industries, a copper mine four miles from the site.
